Overview

To take part in judging the Pub of the Year competition takes:

Skills… No special skills are required, just a true appreciation of what makes a great pub.
Real ale drinker... Even if you don't particularly like real ale, you can still take part. We've used the candidate's 2023/2024 beer scoring average to complete the Quality and Condition of Product category.
Commitment… The only commitment you need to make is to visit and judge each of the six candidates.
No rush… And there’s no great rush as the deadline is the middle of March 2024.

Timeline

The schedule for the 2024 Pub of the Year Competition:

• Dec 2023: Finalise Branch Pub of the Year candidate list.
• Dec 2023 - Mar 2024: Branch Pub of the Year judging.
• 15th Mar 2024: Announce Branch Pub of the Year winner.
