Black Pig
A country walk starting from the Black Pig, Staple, where we'll have lunch. Then onto the Griffin's Head, Chillenden and the Fitzwalter Arms, Goodnestone. We'll finish at the Anchor Inn, Wingham.
Distance: About 7.5 miles.
From Sandwich: We'll be catching the Sandwich Connect Bus** at 12.42pm, from the Sandwich Guildhall to Staple. Then a short walk to the Black Pig.
From Wingham: We'll arrive early evening at the Anchor Inn, Wingham, for buses back to Deal, Dover, Sandwich or Canterbury.**Sandwich Connect Bus Service.

On Saturday, 4th June, there’s to be a festival on Walmer Green celebrating what’s best about Kent: its beer, its wine, its cider and, of course its food.
Organised by Walmer Town Council, The Best of Kent Festival runs from 12.00pm-8.00pm.
At the moment Time & Tide, Deal Hop Farm Brewer, Goodys and Solley’s Ice Cream have confirmed they’ll be there.

Starting from Wickhambreaux, we'll walk to the Half Moon & Seven Stars, Preston, where we'll have lunch. Then onto the Rising Sun, Stourmouth, and the Dog & Duck, Plucks Gutter.
Distance: About 7.5 miles.
Getting to Wickhambreaux: We'll be taking Service 11 to Wickhambreaux, which leaves Canterbury Bus Station at 10.33 and Littlebourne (The Maltings) at 10.44.
Returning from Plucks Gutter: We be catching Service 11 at 16.53 which gets to Wingham at 17.09 and Canterbury Bus Station at 17.34. - Kent & East Sussex Railway Beer Festival

The Great British Beer Festival at Olympia is Britain's biggest beer festival, bringing you real ales, ciders, perries and world beers.
There's plenty to occupy you at the festival, you can play on some traditional pub games, enjoy live music, sample some food, including good traditional pub snacks, and also attend tutored beer tastings.

- East Malling Beer and Cider Festival

East Malling Research
The Maidstone and Mid Kent branch's annual showcase event at the Research Centre, East Malling which is usually held on the first Saturday of September each year.
There'll be around 70 real ales and 30 ciders and perries on offer along with live music and food vendors. The festival is open from 11am until 7pm, or until the beer runs dry!
Free shuttle buses will run to and from Aylesford (half-hourly) and West Malling (hourly) rail stations.
