Across our district there are a considerable number of publicans serving good quality real ale. A few of these get recognition for this by being featured in CAMRA's Good Beer Guide. But wouldn't it be great if all these publicans could get the credit they deserve?

Which is why we put this web page together. It lists the pubs in the Dover district that have demonstrated that they serve good quality real ale.

How are these pubs selected?

Throughout the year CAMRA members, using CAMRA's National Beer Scoring System, submit thousands of scores that rate the real ale they have been drinking. We use these beer scores to assess the quality of the real ale being served in the local pubs. We then select and publish those pubs that have received sufficient reports to demonstrate that they serve good quality ale.

What if my pub isn't featured?

This could mean that we haven't received enough beer scores over the last twelve months to have a level of confidence in the quality of the real ale being served. Alternatively, the scores we have received indicate that the quality of the real ale is not good enough for the pub to be featured on this list.
