A traditional, unspoilt 14th-century timber-framed building situated in the picturesque village of Chillenden. Inside, wood beams and tiled floors emphasise the age of this Grade II listed building.

As well as the main restaurant, there's a smaller restaurant suitable for small, intimate parties.

During the summer there are two pleasant gardens to sit in and the two inglenook fires are most welcome in the winter.

The ales featured Shep's Master Brew plus a seasonal ale. There also an extensive wine list.

There's an extensive menu, featuring an interesting range of small plates, classic mains and sandwiches & sharing board. On Sunday there's a traditional roast.

In summer, BBQs are held and in winter the emphasis is on game.

Classic car club meets the first Sunday of every month.
